What We’ve Achieved to date:
- 100% renewable electricity, with a solar array generating ~25% of annual needs
- Heating & hot water powered by a biomass boiler
- Estate vehicles switched to HVO biofuel
- LED lighting and expanding motion-sensor lighting across the estate
- Thermostats in each room for efficient, remote-monitored use
- Upgraded energy-efficient windows in Owenmore Restaurant
Energy Consumption 2024:
In 2024, the hotel used just 188.1 MJ per guest night, well below the sector leader benchmark
of 336.0 MJ and the average of 480.0 MJ, which demonstrates strong energy efficiency.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions 2024:
In 2024, the hotel emitted 5.1 kg per guest per night, where the average in the sector is 38.36 kg per
guest per night, where the sector leader was 27Kg, well below the sector leader benchmark.
