The Coral Strand is located on the Clifden side of Ballyconneely village and looks out on Mannin Bay. This sheltered beach has coarse coral sand, which is made up calcified seaweed and feels like fine gravel when walking the beach.
There are many rock pools to explore along the rugged shoreline and
as the beach is very sheltered it is perfect for enjoying a swim on a fine day.
