Woodcock Shooting Connemara Ireland
Ballynahinch Estate provides the perfect backdrop for woodcock shooting in the West of Ireland. Comprising of 26,000 acres of unspoiled Connemara landscape, the Estate readily offers both gentle and challenging terrain, set in dramatic scenery.
The magical European woodcock migrates from Scandinavia and Russia arriving in Connemara during the full moon in November. The hunting season stretches from 1st November until 31st January, however, we do not begin shooting until mid-November on the Estate.
The shooting is sold as a full-board residential package inclusive of accommodation, meals, shooting, guides and dogs and is subject to a non-refundable deposit. Shooting parties are for a minimum of seven guns and a maximum of ten. In order to preserve the shooting the ground is only covered twice during the season.
All non-residents firearms passes are dealt with by the hotel in advance and we can also organise a collection from Shannon Airport.
For further information on shooting please contact the reservations office at info@ballynahinch-castle.com or telephone +353 (95) 31006. You can also email the shoot manager if you have any queries relating to the shooting
