The Roundstone Regatta is the premier event for water sports in Connemara. The event takes place in the picturesque seaside village of Roundstone Mid July and features the Galway Hooker and The Currach in races around the bay.
Roundstone Regatta is one of the oldest, sea festivals in the West of Ireland, dating back to the 1890s. Featuring both traditional sailing vessels of the West Coast, and currach (rowing) racing.

The prix fixe menu in the main dining room is worth every penny if you like interesting food with exceptional presentation. They have extensive hiking trails and the rooms in the main building overlooking the river are beautiful.
