We are delighted to team up with Ofe Oyasor from Ollie’s Studio again this November to run two calligraphy workshops.
With a focus on making your own Christmas cards while learning the art of contemporary pointed pen calligraphy the four-hour modern calligraphy workshop for beginners is on Saturday, 17th November with an advanced class on Sunday, 18th November.
Ofe will cover how to use a dip pen and ink, create foundation strokes, upper and lower case alphabets, word formation, designing and adapting your own style, and simple flourishing.
All calligraphy materials will be provided, and the beginners class is suitable for everyone who can hold a pen, is either left or right handed, or even has illegible handwriting!
Cheltenham-based Ofe is an experienced teacher and designer who runs her own bespoke design and calligraphy studio, specialising in weddings. The small class sizes ensures that there will be plenty of time for one-on-one guidance and advice. Beginning with a two-hour session at 11 a.m, the class breaks for afternoon tea in the restaurant before resuming for another two-hour session at 2.30 p.m.
The four-hour workshop, a take home calligraphy starter kit with all the supplies needed for the class, and afternoon tea is €85 per person
