After a final burst of cold weather, the signs of spring are beginning to break through in Connemara. Our walled garden restoration is entering an exciting stage with the planting of hundreds of trees and shrubs which include a mixture of evergreen and deciduous trees, among these we have some beautiful topiary pieces and some fantastically trained and pruned lime trees.
We will be supplementing this tree planting with some herbaceous perennial and rose planting. Our greenhouse is due for installation next week and will take approximately two weeks, this will in time will be surrounded by our vegetable beds and espalier fruit trees.
