Derrigimlagh Walkway
Derrigimlagh is a local area which was home to the first Trans-Atlantic radio station more than a century ago. It was burned to the ground during the Irish War of Independence, however, the scattered remains of the radio station are still visible in the village. The village was also the location where Alcock and Brown crash landed in 1919, you will find a wing-shaped memorial for the two. Another attraction in this location is the Marconi Station. Built in 1907 this station was used to transmit some of the first wireless messages.
