Diamond Hill
Diamond Hill is a 25-minute drive from Ballynahinch. It is part of the Connemara National Park, which is beside the village of Letterfrack. Standing at 442 meters high it is considered a large hill. There are two walks available the 3km Lower Diamond Walk and the 3.7km Upper Diamond Walk.

Both walks are suitable for all levels and there is no special equipment is required, but proper footwear and outdoor wear are recommended. It is very well signposted and gravel footpaths and the wooden boardwalks guide you over the bog as you approach the mountain.

Near the base of the hill, you can continue walking the Lower Diamond Walk or turn to complete the Upper Diamond Walk. There is a steady climb to the summit but the magnificent view is worth it.

Diamond Hill looks down on the Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey, Inishturk and Inishshark and the Twelve Bens Mountain Range. The loop continues down the opposite side of the mountain where you re-join the lower loop walk and can complete it also or walk back to the visitors centre.
