Front Office Manager
Ballynahinch Castle has undergone considerable investment and improvement over the past few years and through it all our Front Office team have led the way in guest service and care. Now a rare opportunity exists for the role of Front Office Manager. This is a critical position in the provision of the guest experience and the commercial management of the business. With responsibility for all Front Office operations including front of house porters, revenue control and in-house sales, the successful candidate will be an important member of the hotel management team.
If you have proven experience in organising and directing a multi-faceted 4 or 5-star hotel front office, if you can motivate, train and lead a team to intuitive levels of guest care and attention to detail, if you have the commercial awareness required to control revenue and sales in your department then this may be a role for you. We currently require a House Porter in Ballynahinch Castle Hotel. The ideal person will do all possible to develop & maintain the experience of the guest while upholding the ethics and principals by which the hotel is run. Also, the person will support the housekeeping department in assisting guests and ensuring that the highest possible standards are maintained at all times. Do you have a passion for food served simply using great local ingredients? If so Ballynahinch Castle is recruiting a lunch chef for our Fisherman’s Pub. Working in our great new kitchens with the rest of the team the lunch chef ensures that our visitors get a real taste of Connemara. Offering a simple menu we would like our lunch chef to concentrate solely on this service working 5 days a week from 9am to 5pm.
Senior Chef de Partie
Ballynahinch Castle boasts one of the most well-resourced kitchens in Ireland. Having recently completed a total re-equipping and fit out, the kitchen team now have one of the best working environments. This allows Head Chef Pete Durkan explore the incredible Larder of Connemara in the creation of exceptional dishes, true to their location and season and full of expression and stories. The development of our kitchen garden in the Victorian walled garden will now present further opportunities for the team to express the terroir on the plate. A shared enthusiasm between the restaurant and kitchen teams for quality, flavour and diner satisfaction makes for a special restaurant experience at Ballynahinch.
A position for a qualified Senior Chef de Partie exists. This is a key role in the team. Pete wants somebody who will be trained to run any section in the kitchen, display an innate understanding and passionate appreciation of the ingredients we use, and accept the responsibilities that come with the role.
