Christmas Creative Workshop at Ballynahinch Castle
This November we are very excited to team up with florist and renowned stylist, Ann Marie O’Leary to hold a Christmas Creative Workshop at Ballynahinch. The workshop is designed for all lovers of creativity and nature, and anyone who wants to surround themselves with a stunningly pretty Christmas! Whether you are a keen amateur florist or simply someone passionate about creating elegant festive designs and arrangements for your own home or those of your friends and family, this three-night, two-day workshop is for you.
Monday 16th NovemberCheck in at your leisure, meet your fellow attendees over a pre-dinner cocktail followed by dinner in the Fisherman’s Pub.
Tuesday 17th NovemberThe fun begins after breakfast with foraging for beautiful wild foliage, followed by a gentle introduction to the floristry skills necessary to create your stunning decorations. After a leisurely lunch there are demonstrations in wreath and door swag design, followed by a creative class with each student designing and making their own arrangement, with one to one tuition as required. At 5 pm it's time to style the long table in the Fisherman’s Pub at Ballynahinch for that evening's dining -promptly followed with time to relax.
Wednesday 18th November The focus moves to the Christmas tree, with a masterclass in tree styling. After lunch there is a demonstration of garland design with all students then making their own, again with one to one tuition as needed, followed by the collective design and installation of that evening’s tablescape before a farewell dinner in the Owenmore Restaurant.
The workshop fees are €985 per person sharing, or €1100 per single room. This includes three nights bed and breakfast, dinner on each evening, lunch on two days as well as refreshments throughout the day. Each attendee will also be provided with a welcome gift - a journal for jotting down notes & thoughts, a festive decoration and bauble kit to add sparkle to arrangements, and a beautiful foraging basket and an apron to take home. All floristry tools & sundries will be provided for you during the workshop.
