Reservations & Revenue Manager (Maternity Cover)
Congratulations to our colleague who is expecting her first child later this summer. With Martina's impending absence we need to find the right person to fill these very capable shoes. Boasting some of the highest occupancies on the West Coast with a loyal repeat business both in direct and travel trade bookings, Ballynahinch Castle requires a professional manager to cover for our colleague. As our business expands and the management of rate, availability and distribution becomes all the more critical we expect to see this department expand and would love to meet new talent.

Lunch Chef:
Do you have a passion for food served simply using great local ingredients? If so Ballynahinch Castle is recruiting a lunch chef for our Fisherman’s Pub. Working in our great new kitchens with the rest of the team the lunch chef ensures that our visitors get a real taste of Connemara. Offering a simple menu we would like our lunch chef to concentrate solely on this service working 5 days a week from 9am to 5pm.

Senior Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie (Pastry)
Ballynahinch Castle boasts one of the most well-resourced kitchens in Ireland. Having recently completed a total re-equipping and fit out, the kitchen team now have one of the best working environments. This allows Head Chef Pete Durkan explore the incredible Larder of Connemara in the creation of exceptional dishes, true to their location and season and full of expression and stories. The development of our kitchen garden in the Victorian walled garden will now present further opportunities for the team to express the terroir on the plate. A shared enthusiasm between the restaurant and kitchen teams for quality, flavour and diner satisfaction makes for a special restaurant experience at Ballynahinch.

A position for a qualified Senior Chef de Partie exists. This is a key role in the team. Pete wants somebody who will be trained to run any section in the kitchen, display an innate understanding and passionate appreciation of the ingredients we use, and accept the responsibilities that come with the role. A superb development position, the opportunities for advancement are many and the right candidate will have a rare opportunity to be part of a team that is constantly seeking to develop and add to the reputation of this unique property.

As we enhance the offer at Ballynahinch we now wish to add to our pasty section. We are now recruiting a Chef de Partie Pastry to work with our Pastry Chef David. David, a talented and passionate chef wishes to further enhance our reputation for pastry and desserts. Already building a reputation for his delicate creations for afternoon tea, baking as many as 8 different breads each day and creating wonderful desserts, both classic and original David wants to raise the bar further. This is a superb opportunity for a dedicated pastry chef to learn and develop and take on extra responsibility.
